Helichrysum smells honey-sweet and herbal at the same time, with a hay-like, slightly spicy depth.
Steam-distilled from the yellow flower heads of the immortelle, which grows around the Mediterranean. The scent is unusual and has little to do with flowers in the usual sense: more like dried grass with honey over it. One of the most labour-intensive oils in the range.
How to use it
- In the diffuser: 1–2 drops, good with Lavender or Wild Orange.
- Diluted on the skin: 1 drop in a teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil.
- Stir one drop into a neutral face or body oil.
- Use very sparingly: the scent quickly takes over in blends.
Good to know
- 5 mL in a dark glass bottle with dropper insert: at around 20 drops per millilitre, that is about 100 drops.
- Never apply undiluted to the skin; as a rule of thumb, 1–2 drops in a teaspoon of carrier oil.
- Keep away from eyes, ears and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children.
