Lavender smells floral-herbal with a soft sweetness beneath: the best-known scent on the whole shelf.
Steam-distilled from the flowers of true lavender. The typical clear floral note sits on top, with a green-herbal side and a slightly woody base beneath. It blends with almost everything, which is why it is usually the first oil people buy.
How to use it
- In the diffuser: 3–4 drops, on its own or with Lemon and Bergamot.
- Diluted on the skin: 1–2 drops in a teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil.
- One drop on a cotton pad in the laundry drawer or in the wardrobe.
- A few drops with a spoonful of carrier oil in the bath water.
- As a room spray: 10 drops in 100 mL of water with a splash of alcohol.
Good to know
