Blue Tansy is deep blue in the bottle and smells sweet and herbal with a fruity, almost apple-like note.
The flowering herb is distilled. The striking blue colour only develops during distillation. It stains, so protect light-coloured fabrics and surfaces. The scent is soft, herbal and unusual; many describe it as chamomile with fruit behind it.
How to use it
- In the diffuser: 2–3 drops, use very sparingly, as the oil is quite dominant.
- Diluted on the skin: 1 drop in a teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil.
- Blended with Wild Orange, the herbal side becomes noticeably rounder.
- Because of the colour: do not let it drip onto light clothing, upholstery or grout.
Good to know
- 5 mL in a dark glass bottle with dropper insert: at around 20 drops per millilitre, that is about 100 drops.
- Never apply undiluted to the skin; as a rule of thumb, 1–2 drops in a teaspoon of carrier oil.
- Keep away from eyes, ears and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children.
