Which dōTERRA oil should it be? The easiest way is to choose by scent. Here are the most popular oils from our shop, sorted by scent family – with an honest description, price and a few combinations for the diffuser.
Fresh and citrusy
- Wild Orange (15 ml, €23.09): sweet, juicy and round – the simplest and most popular citrus note. Cold-pressed from the peel.
- Lemon (15 ml, €24.81): bright, zesty and clear, sharper than Wild Orange.
Floral and soft
- Lavender (15 ml, €50.98): floral-herbal with a soft sweetness underneath – the best-known scent on the whole shelf.
Minty and clear
- Peppermint (15 ml, €42.37): sharply minty with a sweet top note, very assertive – a few drops are enough.
- Eucalyptus (15 ml, €32.39): clear, camphor-like and slightly woody.
Woody and warm
- Frankincense (15 ml, €131.61): warm resinous and dry woody, with a fine citrusy top note.
- Copaiba (15 ml, €62.37): very soft, warm, slightly sweet and balsamic, with no sharpness at all.
- Tea Tree (15 ml, €40.31): tart green and woody, very distinctive.
Three simple combinations for the diffuser
- Fresh in the morning: 3 drops Wild Orange + 1 drop Peppermint
- Clear and bright: 2 drops Lavender + 2 drops Lemon
- Warm in the evening: 2 drops Frankincense + 2 drops Wild Orange
As a rule of thumb, 3–5 drops are enough for the amount of water your diffuser specifies. Follow the instructions of your device and ventilate the room from time to time.
