Guaiacwood smells soft, smoky and sweet at the same time: wood with a rosy, tea-like top note.
Steam-distilled from the wood of the South American guaiac tree. At cool room temperature the oil becomes thick to solid; simply warm the bottle in your hand for a few minutes. The scent is deep, understated and lingers for a very long time.
How to use it
- In the diffuser: 2–3 drops, very good with Wild Orange or Pink Pepper.
- As a base note in your own blends: it holds on to fleeting citrus notes.
- Diluted on the skin: 1 drop in a teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil.
- If the oil has solidified: warm the bottle in the palm of your hand, do not heat it.
Good to know
- 15 mL in a dark glass bottle with dropper insert: at around 20 drops per millilitre, that is about 300 drops.
- Never apply undiluted to the skin; as a rule of thumb, 1–2 drops in a teaspoon of carrier oil.
- Keep away from eyes, ears and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children.
