Clove smells sharply spicy and warmly sweet at the same time: the scent everyone knows from the Christmas kitchen.
Steam-distilled from the dried flower buds of the clove tree. The oil is very concentrated and is one of the strongest in the range: sharp in the top note, with sweet, dark wood beneath. In a room a single drop goes a long way.
How to use it
- In the diffuser: 1–2 drops, classic with Wild Orange and Cinnamon.
- One drop on a piece of wood or a pine cone in the decorative bowl.
- As a room spray: 4 drops in 100 mL of water with a splash of alcohol.
- Do not dose into plastic dishes: Clove oil attacks plastic and varnish.
Good to know
- 15 mL in a dark glass bottle with dropper insert: at around 20 drops per millilitre, that is about 300 drops.
- A strong oil: never apply undiluted to the skin. Dilute heavily, 1 drop in a tablespoon of fractionated coconut oil, and use sparingly in the diffuser.
- Keep away from eyes, ears and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children.
