Cinnamon smells warm, sweet and sharply spicy: denser and livelier than any ground cinnamon.
Steam-distilled from the bark of the cinnamon tree. The oil is one of the strongest in the range: the top note is sharp spice, with a sweet, almost woody depth beneath. In a room, a single drop is enough; in blends, often only one in five.
How to use it
- In the diffuser: 1 drop, classically with Wild Orange and Clove.
- One drop on a pine cone or a piece of wood in the decorative bowl.
- As a room spray: 3 drops in 100 mL of water with a splash of alcohol.
- Do not measure out in plastic dishes: cinnamon oil attacks plastic and varnish.
Good to know
- 5 mL in a dark glass bottle with dropper insert: at around 20 drops per millilitre, that is about 100 drops.
- A strong oil: never apply undiluted to the skin. Dilute heavily, 1 drop in a tablespoon of fractionated coconut oil, and use sparingly in the diffuser.
- Keep away from eyes, ears and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children.
