Tulsi smells herbal and green with a peppery, clove-like spiciness: noticeably sharper than ordinary basil.
Steam-distilled from the leaves of holy basil, which traditionally grows in home gardens in India. The scent is warmer and spicier than that of kitchen basil: green at the front, almost clove-like behind. A very distinctive herb oil.
How to use it
- In the diffuser: 2–3 drops, good with Lemon or Frankincense.
- Diluted on the skin: 1 drop in a teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil.
- As a spicy middle note in your own blends with citrus oils.
- One drop on a cotton pad in the study.
Good to know
- 5 mL in a dark glass bottle with dropper insert: at around 20 drops per millilitre, that is about 100 drops.
- Never apply undiluted to the skin; as a rule of thumb, 1–2 drops in a teaspoon of carrier oil.
- Keep away from eyes, ears and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children.
