Myrrh smells warm, smoky and bitter-balsamic: a resin scent with great depth.
Steam-distilled from the resin of the myrrh shrub, which seeps from cuts in the bark. The oil is noticeably thicker than most others; after use, wipe the rim of the bottle, otherwise the dropper insert will stick. The scent lasts a very long time.
How to use it
- In the diffuser: 2–3 drops, classic with Frankincense and Wild Orange.
- As a base note in your own blends: it holds light scents in place.
- Diluted on the skin: 1 drop in a teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil.
- Store the bottle upright and keep the rim clean so the dropper insert stays free.
Good to know
- 15 mL in a dark glass bottle with dropper insert: at around 20 drops per millilitre, that is about 300 drops.
- Never apply undiluted to the skin; as a rule of thumb, 1–2 drops in a teaspoon of carrier oil.
